Great news for investors, the EB-5 Regional Center Program has been reauthorized under the three-week extension to end the government shutdown signed by President Trump on Friday.
Under the new extension, the government will be reopened for three weeks and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will immediately begin processing EB-5 applications.
During the government shutdown, EB-5 investors were not able to file adjustment of status applications and most investor interviews were paused. Both of these restrictions have now been lifted and processes will resume Monday.
There may be more good news for the EB-5 Program. After the change in House and Senate leadership, the new members have allegedly a more positive view of the program and are seeking to create legislation to tackle program issues such as the visa backlog. For more information about the EB-5 Program or the extension to reopen the federal government until February 15th, send us a message.
