It may be because USCIS has placed a heavier burden on the EB-5 investors when it comes to proving their lawful source of funds. In April through June, USCIS received 905 I-829 petitions, approved 306 I-829 petitions, denied 74 I-829 petitions, and has 5,522 I-829 petitions pending.
